The Group gained ownership of the land in 1989. The land upon which the scout hut is situated and the surrounding land were formally a World War II Royal Air Force training site. The Group endeavours to be very much part of the local community of Bearley and Snitterfield, however its main catchment area includes the villages of Claverdon, Langley, Aston Cantlow, Wolverton, Pathlow, Norton Lindsey and Edstone.
